What Valmont V-Lift Eye Does for the Eye Contour

Valmont V-Lift Eye is the 15 ml anti-wrinkle eye contour cream in Valmont's V-Lift line. Valmont lists a visible tightening effect, a smoother eye contour and more toned eyelids, and says it smooths and plumps crow's feet, fine lines and deep wrinkles. Valmont puts it at all skin types and calls it particularly beneficial for crepey and wrinkled eye contours. Valmont describes the texture as luscious as a cream and as rapidly penetrating as a serum. It sits with firming care for the eye area.

Inside the Formula

  • C-Drone. Valmont's own Drone Peptide Technology, which it describes as a vitamin C delivery system targeting fibroblasts to protect and boost collagen synthesis.
  • Liposome DNA and RNA duo. Valmont says this pair intensely hydrates, regenerates and strengthens skin, and boosts the skin's repairing and healing capacity.
  • Swiss Glacier Bacteria Extract. Valmont credits it with helping reduce deep wrinkles and visibly rejuvenating the skin.

The ingredient list also carries ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate, acetyl tetrapeptide-5 and several palmitoyl peptides, which Valmont names without describing.

What Valmont's Use Test Found

Valmont publishes three figures for this cream: 92 percent reported a visible tensing effect, 88 percent a smoother eye contour, and 88 percent more toned eyelids. The two 88 percent figures are footnoted to a use test on 25 women aged 45 to 70, average age 55, applying it twice daily for 56 days. Valmont's page carries a separate footnote marker on the 92 percent figure but does not print that footnote, so the panel behind it is not stated.

These are what Valmont's own panel reported, not an independent trial, and a use test records what people said rather than what was measured against a placebo. Read them as the brand's evidence.

Applying It, and the Rest of the Routine

Valmont's directions are to apply it with light taps of the fingertips to the eye contour, morning and evening or either one. Valmont's full V-Lift sequence runs V-Lift Serum first, then V-Lift Cream, then this eye cream.

The step Valmont puts last in that sequence is V-Lift Neck, which Valmont directs at the neck and the décolleté.

Questions About V-Lift Eye

Will it lift a drooping eyelid?
Valmont's claim is that eyelids looked more toned, which 88 percent of its panel reported. That is a cosmetic effect on the skin. An eyelid that droops because of the muscle that raises it is a condition called ptosis, and the Cleveland Clinic describes its treatments as surgical or prescription. No cream, this one included, addresses that.

Does it contain Reti-Boost?
No. Valmont names Reti-Boost on its V-Lift Serum page. On this eye cream's page Valmont does not name it, either as a featured ingredient or in the ingredient list.

How is this different from V-Firm Eye?
Valmont aims them at different things. This one is the anti-wrinkle cream, pointed at crow's feet, fine lines and deep wrinkles. V-Firm Eye is the firming gel, which Valmont points at heavy eyelids and crepey under-eye skin. Both are 15 ml.

Morning, evening, or both?
Valmont's directions allow both or just one of the two.
