I was excited to try this serum as I am in search of something to help lighten or erase my sun spots. Luckily I don't have too many, so I am trying to do "damage control" and get on top of it. I am still hoping some serum and skincare product will help so I don't have to resort to harsher things like peels or lasering it off.This serum is for night use, but this is something I would normally use before bed anyways. This serum has a cloudy gel like consistency, not super watery but not thick and rich either. It comes in a pump style head, very sanitary for daily use. There is a light citrus-y type of scent, not at all overwhelming but it is a scent that I sort of expect to smell in a product like this. It is almost like a common scent for a cosmeceutical product. Once applied, I do feel a very slight tacky feeling, but it is VERY little and does not make my skin feel uncomfortable. Many people would probably not even notice it. My skin had a slight prickly or cooling sensation, at first I thought it is my skin is reacting to some ingredient that may be too harsh, but after looking at the ingredients list, it doesn't look like there is anything too harsh in this. I'm not sure if it is the peppermint leaf extract that is giving that tingling sensation, but it is very possible. My skin did not turn red, so it didn't look like it was a reaction. Don't apply too close to the eye as you might feel a little irritation, again, a very light feeling.It is too soon for me to say if it works on dark spots but I can say I like the consistency and how it makes my skin feel. Aside from the slight tinging sensation, it does not feel harsh. I really appreciate that they did not use hydroquinone or retinoid, which is something I was expecting to see for a serum that targets dark spots. This is the repackaged version that comes in a tube vs a bottle with pump. Personally I like the tube format easier and storing it "upside down" keeps the product at the bottom of the tube. Some users who like to pay for a bottle that looks as pretty as the contents make your skin may not like the simple packaging but it did not bother me.The Serum is meant to be used with Epionce's Melanolyte TX. I found when used together they did a good job fading a lot of my darker spots from acne and mask-ne (breakouts from wearing a mask) but am not seeing a whole lot of change on my sunspots.If this is within your price range I like the product line and it's a nice alternative to more harsher products with retinols and heavy peel masks. YOu don't hit a "saturation point" like you do with other brightening regimens and I like that because I don't always remember to wear sunscreen and having a silent battle waged against my dark spots on an ongoing basis can make a difference in keeping the hyperpigmentation at bay before it gets out of control.

I hate it when you order a high end skin care item only to get a crappy container that doesn't allow the product to come out. This dispenser was awful. I thought I got a broken dispenser at first because I just couldn't even get it out. I used it the first week just by unscrewing it to get the product out. Each night I was continue to give it a go and see if I could get product out to no avail. Eventually though... starting the second week of trying pumping the product a little finally came out. Now that I am in my third week of using it, I have found that I would have to depress it 15-20 times to actually get product to come out. Come on... for $100 serum, spend some money so that people can actually get a dispenser that works.Dispenser aside, I liked this serum a lot. I spend a lot of time outdoors and despite all the sunscreen I use, I still get freckles. I decided to try this serum along with theDark Spot Treatment. After using this combination nightly for several weeks I have noticed a gradual fading of these freckles. It hasn't been a quick process but the freckles are lighter and not as pronounced. That haven't fully disappeared but they are less noticeable. The serum is light weight and doesn't have an overwhelming scent.
