This is the green EltaMD sunscreen. It goes on green because green sits opposite red on the color wheel, so it neutralizes visible redness on contact rather than covering it. Underneath is a 100% mineral sunscreen built for skin that flushes, stings, or reacts. It settles to neutral within about a minute, so do not judge it in the first thirty seconds. It is one of two Skin Recovery sunscreens in the full EltaMD range. If you would rather skip the tint, UV Skin Recovery SPF 50 is the untinted version.

Product Details

Four things do the work. Zinc oxide at 12.9% is the only active, which makes this a 100% mineral sunscreen with no chemical filters. AA Complex at 2% is EltaMD's patented blend of three amino acids, formulated to repair the skin barrier and reduce the look of redness. Ceramides strengthen the barrier. Centella asiatica calms skin that is sensitive or compromised.

I would give this 10/5 stars if I could. Fantastic sunscreen, especially if you have mature and/or sensitive skin. I've tried everything: Supergoop, Neutragena, La Roche Posay, other versions of Elta sunscreen. This is BY FAR the best. A holy grail product.Pros: No white cast, no smell, not greasy, great under make-up (makes a great primer), lightweight, doesn't cause breakouts, doesn't look shiny or settle into pores.Cons: It ain't cheap. But it's worth it.Tip: Let this set for at least 15 minutes before applying foundation. Once I started started doing this, my foundation (Victoria Beckham) glides on beautifully and stays all day. It's the perfect primer. Use about half a teaspoonful for face and neck.

Love it!

It protects my face from sun damage, doesn't aggravate my rosacea, doesn't have a white cast, and has a nice, silky feel that works well under make-up. I wouldn't count on this as your primary source for reducing redness (other than sunburn), but otherwise, it's a great product and worth the price.

No dryness, no redness

I had lost faith in mineral sunscreens because of the unpleasant looking white cast and the dry feeling I got on my skin. But this sunscreen is completely different. I�ve worn it for a few days: no breakouts, no redness, no white cast, no dryness and no greasiness. My skin feels perfectly balanced. While it is on the pricey side, you get what you pay for. It�s worth every penny. This sunscreen has become my new favorite!

Great Sunscreen!

Great sunscreen for skin with rosacea! Not too think but enough to provide great sun protection and blends well under or even on top of light makeup! Very soft texture and no smell!

High Quality

I've never burned while wearing this. It doesn't make me break out like almost every other product. The texture is nice, moisturizing--neither greasy or dry.
